Company Introduction

Doosan Biotech BU, established in 1960 as Korea's first-ever corporate-affiliated research lab, engages in bio technology research and development.
Our acquisition in 1993 of Canada's Serdary Research Laboratories, a manufacturer of 500 types of chemical grade pure lipids, provided us with infrastructure necessary for technological development in the area of organic chemistry.

Subsequently in 1997, we set in place a production system for GMP-standard functional phospholipids at Iksan, Jeollabuk-do. Our key products include lyso-phosphatidyl ethanolamine, a natural plant growth regulator, and natural sphingolipid, a substance widely used in high-end functional cosmetics due to its outstanding moisturizing properties, helping to restore skin barrier function and delay skin aging.

Recently, we successfully launched Carenic, a skincare line formulated to treat and relieve skin atopy, which enabled us to establish our presence in the cosmetic market as well.
